Together with my singer Torbjörn Edlund, I did a new mixed concert program, with evergreens and classical piano solos. We played this program in Gamla kyrkan – Östersund / Sweden, on October 18, 2023. The title of this program was ”Allsköns Musik”. That means All Kinds of Music.
I had chosen to play solo music by Chopin and Mozart, and one of my own compositions. Torbjörn sang classical music and evergreens.

This organ recital took place in Gåxsjö church, on July 1, 2023.
The weather was lovely, and it was beautiful outside the church. I was surprised to see so many people coming to this solo recital. Gåxsjö is a small village. The organ was a small powerful baroque style organ.
I mostly focused on improvisation on this concert. Improvising on well known music, and some short Heavy Metal themes by Iron Maiden, and other metal bands. I also played my own organ works . I played four of my most difficult organ compositions, so I was pretty exhausted at the end. The audience was stunned. At the end of the concert I played my own piano composition Variations in A Major, Opus 13. That is the perfect encore.
Here is a video from this recital. There is no heavy metal solo on this short video. Well – the song song ”Whiskey in the Jar”, has actually been played by Metallica. Enjoy the video!

This concert was really fun to do. Look at this lovely concert hall. The people in the audience are all sitting close to the Steinway grand piano. It was warm in the hall, and it smelled of coffee. It felt very inspiring.
I played a mixed program with Beethoven, Mozart, and my own works. I also played my own arrangements of well known songs.

It was lovely to do two Xmas concerts with a trio, in the churches in Sveg and Ytterhogdal. On December 17, we did theese concerts. I played with the two singers Torbjörn Edlund and Johnny Wiktorsson.
I got the chance to play the well known Xmas songs. I also got the chance to play my own piano compositions.

In Ytterhogdal, Torbjörn asked the opera singer Göran Enegård to join him in O holy night. So fun to play the song with two great singers. Torbjörn sang the second voice.
November 30, 2022 in Gamla kyrkan, Östersund – Sweden.
This was one of the most fun concerts I have ever done. Together with the singer Torbjörn I played a mixed program with Evergreens, and classical piano music. ”Från Evergreens till klassiska mästare”.
When I meet a big audience like this, that is filled with warm feelings, I feel very grateful to be a musician. Torbjörn’s powerful voice, and my natural talent for improvising the accompaniment proved to be a very successful concept. I also played my own solo compositions and Schumann and Chopin. The concert took place in Gamla kyrkan, Östersund, on November 30, 2022.

It was fun to do this recital. I played three of my own compositions, and I made three improvisations. This time I did not play any traditional classical music (like Bach). I wanted to focus the whole concert on my own compostions and improvisations. The concert was filmed, and soon I will post some YouTube videos from this 12:00 PM lunch Recital.
Reading mails from people visiting the concert, I could see they enjoyed listening to my Toccata in Bb minor, Opus 14, and my Tango Militante in F minor, Opus 22. The Toccata in Bb minor was composed about 20 years ago, as a show piece. For the first time I will post this Toccata on YouTube, since I was pleased with this live performance of the piece.
This organ has a typical baroque sound, but one of my improvisations (a long tango) was in symphonic style. Far away from any music that is usually played on a baroque-style organ. But the Tutti on this organ (when all the organ’s stops is used at the same), has a kind of symphonic organ sound. At least from my point of view.
When I improvise or play my own organ works, I am very careful to let the music flow, to create alot of energy. I feel love when I do that.
It was really fun to do a Christmas concert with the singer Torbjön Edlund, in the EFS Church – Östersund, Sweden. We did this concert on December 27, 2021. This is the first time I made a live concert on a Steinway grand piano, and I was delighted to play live on such a powerful instrument.
Half the program was traditional Christmas songs, and half the program was piano solo music. I played Chopin and Schumann, but most of all I did some improvisations, and I played one of my own my virtuoso compostions for solo piano. As I often do, I ended the concert with my own version of ”My Way”. On this concert I improvised a piano fugue on ”Staffansvisan”, and I improvised on some fun themes from Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsodies.
Torbjörn was singing the traditional Christmas hits, like ”O holy night” and ”Ave Maria”, by Schubert. He also sang two of his own compositions. Very well written music. Torbjörn has a powerful voice, and I hope we will soon make more concerts together.
I was delighted to do my first full length piano recital, in October 14, 2020.
Being an organ improviser for so many years, I also wanted this solo piano recital to be a concert full of improvisations. But this time improvisations on the piano. And I decided to play three well known classical piano pieces, that people can enjoy. Music by Beethoven, Schumann and Scriabin. And as I often do on piano, I played the well known song MY WAY.
At the moment it is difficult to give live concerts, because of Corona. But at least smaller concerts are possible.
The place for this concert was Gamla kyrkan, Östersund – Sweden. One of the most joyful things during this concert, was to improvise a 10 minutes long Piano Sonata in D Minor. I did not use the traditional Sonata form. I improvised a Sonata that was pretty free and wild.
