Piano Improvisation

The piano is a lovely instrument for improvisation. Basicly, I borrow ideas from classical composers like Schubert and Liszt, when I improvise.

But it is also a creative process to find a personal style for improvising music at the piano. Why copy something I have allready heard? I think it is more wise to create something new, out of all the music I have heard.

Some people are born to improvise. Some people find it easier to play music composed by other people. We are all different. I have always been an improviser – from the very beginning.
